Editing Campaign

Introduction

Editing the campaign entails editing the information in the four sections of the campaign.

How to initiate editing

We can start editing a campaign simply by opening the Campaign in the Campaigns listview. Click on Campaigns button (first button) located in the left navigation menu.

This will open the campaign list view. In order to edit a campaign, the following needs to be done:

Title Description
1Double click on it.
2Right click on the mouse to open the context menu and select New Tab (if you want to open the Campaign in a new tab) or New Window (if you want to open the Campaign in a new window).
3On a mobile device, click on the edit button shown on the right side.

Any time something is changed in the campaign, the Save button will automatically be activated in the left navigation menu or in the right context menu (By default, this button is inactive until some changes are made).

Editing What section

After Campaign is opened, by default What section is shown. In the left navigation menu and right context menu are shown following buttons: Back, Save, Copy, Paste, Approve, Publish, Pull, Zones Layout, Playlist settings, View Published Version (this button is only shown if the Campaign is published), Export to CSV, Export Playlist and Reset.

In order to add media, there are three ways to add media and other entities to the campaign’s zone playlist. All options for the media items in the campaign’s playlist are located under the ‘Playlist settings’ button. This button is located on both left navigation and the right context menu. There is a third way you can add media items to the campaign playlist, which is by hovering on ‘Add Media’ link in the middle of the page (NOTE: This link is only available when the list is empty, which applies by default for all newly created Campaigns).

There are eight options available under the Add Media submenu: File Upload, Web Resource, Live stream, Capture, Existing Media, Existing Playlist, Remote File Drop, Media Template and Media Tree Template.

In order to remove media items from the Zone Playlist section, you can use ‘Delete’ button from Playlist Settings menu from both left navigation and right context menu. Also, you can use the shortcut from the keyboard by clicking on the ‘Delete’ button. After any of these options is used (clicked) new modal window will open to confirm removal of the media operation. Click Delete to remove media or Cancel to cancel removing media.

On the right side of the page in What section is shown the preview of the selected zones (Screen Designer). At the top is drop down menu with a list of all created zones in the Campaign. You can manually select individual zones by clicking on their names in the list. Below this list is the zone preview section (designer) where you can manually resize and position all created Zones (use the mouse to drag-and-drop selected zone borders and position). Above and below the designer are six fields where you can manually enter the width, height and position of the canvas and the selected zones. All options for this section are placed in the ‘Zones Layout’ button in the left navigation or right context menu. If you hover over this button menu with following options will be shown: Add Zone (additional menu on hover with following options: Zone, Ticker Zone, Text Zone and QR Code Zone), Remove Zone, Rename Zone, Canvas Options (additional menu on hover with following options: Show/Hide Grid, Snap to Grid, No Overlapping, Bring to front and Percentage/Pixel based placement), Screen orientation (additional menu on hover with two options: Portrait and Landscape), Primary Zone, Audio Zone and Support Zone.

Clicking the Audio Zone button from the Zones Layout menu will create a new zone called Audio Zone. In this zone, only audio files can be added.
